Aging

Even though we crawl,

slowly,

through mire and muck,

inch by inch,

to the top,

satisfying (maybe)

all desire,

we still treasure

music,

touch,

animals,

children,

friends,

relatives,

strangers,

(some instantly,

some slowly),

teaching,

learning,

loving.
